Lavrov offers condolences to Malian FM over deadly bus accident

Moscow, Feb 28 (UNI) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov conveyed condolences to Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop during a meeting on Wednesday after a bus accident in Mali claimed the lives of at least 31 people and left another 10 injured.
"First of all, I would like to express my condolences over the tragic incident involving a civilian bus yesterday, which left more than 30 people dead and more than 10 seriously injured. Please convey wishes for a speedy recovery to all those who were injured," Lavrov said.
On Tuesday, a bus drove off a bridge over the Bagoe River in southern Mali. The probable cause was the driver's failure to control the vehicle, the Malian Transport Ministry said.
