LifeCell pushes for inclusive breast cancer awareness beyond urban campaigns, highlights rural gap

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) As India observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month, LifeCell Diagnostics is advocating for a more substantive and inclusive national dialogue on breast cancer.
The company is urging a shift in focus from urban-centric social media campaigns towards bridging critical gaps in awareness, access, and genetic literacy, especially in rural India.
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Indian women, with over two lakh new cases reported annually, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). A significant concern is that nearly 50 percent of these cases are diagnosed at advanced stages, leading to poorer outcomes.
