Lok Sabha adjourned till 2 pm amid uproar

New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) The Lok Sabha on Wednesday was adjourned till 2 pm, after Congress member Gaurav Gogoi accused the government of using George Soros as a shield to hide its lapses, leading to both the Opposition and treasury benches creating a ruckus.
After the House proceeding went on smoothly for almost 90 minutes, Presiding Officer Sandhya Ray during the Zero Hour called Congress member Gaurav Gogoi to raise his issue.
Gogoi expressed concern over the Manipur issue, saying, “Manipur is a big issue. The government has failed to find a solution to the burning issue of the state. The health and education infrastructure had completely been destroyed”.
The MP from Jorhat asked the government, “When will the Prime Minister visit Manipur? When will the Home Minister apprise the House on the Manipur situation?”
He then accused the government of using George Soros as a shield to hide its lapses.
To this, Union Minister Piyush Goyal rose up and said, “Manipur is being handled at the highest level. It is the Congress that is using George Soros to destabilise the Indian economy”.
He further alleged, “George Soros has a close connection with their leader.” To this the Congress members trooped into the Well of the House raising slogans.
Both the ruling party and the Opposition accused each other. Unable to put the House in order. Unable to put the House in order. Sandhya Ray then adjourned the House till 2 pm.
