Low-pressure area likely to form over Southwest Bay of Bengal: Met

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) The cyclonic circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal persists at 0830 hour on Friday and extends up to 3.6 km above mean sea level.
Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the same area during next 48 hours. It is likely to move slowly nearly westwards during subsequent 2-days towards Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka coasts, Meteorological entre said.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the trough from Gulf of Mannar to east central Bay of Bengal runs from the above cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal to east-central Bay of Bengal and extends up to mid-tropospheric levels 3.1 km above mean sea level.
