Maha: Crane operator at Bhandara steel unit falls to death; family holds protest

Bhandara, Jan 17 (UNI) A crane operator was killed in an industrial accident at Sunflag Steel Company in Warthi village of Maharashtra's Bhandara district on Saturday, triggering protests by workers and family members demanding compensation and action, official said.
The deceased has been identified as Maruti Bhiwgade(45), a resident of Panchgaon, who was employed as a crane operator at the plant.
According to the official, Bhiwgade fell from a height of nearly 70 feet while on duty at around 10 a.m.
