Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Monday demanded that the BJP-led state government should immediately increase the prices of milk for milk-producing farmers while threatening to launch agitation to give justice to farmers.
Talking to media persons at party head office here, he claimed that once again, it has been revealed that the BJP-led government in Maharashtra is anti-farmer.
The prices of milk in various states fetches up to Rs 45 per litre for farmers but in Maharashtra, they get only Rs 27 per litre, he said and informed that the same milk is being sold by Amul and other milk companies at Rs 55 to Rs 60 per litre to consumers.
