Maha: Liquor shops must get housing society consent, says Ajit Pawar

Nagpur, Dec 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday announced that liquor shops, both those selling Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country liquor, must obtain mandatory consent from registered housing societies before starting operations in commercial spaces located on their premises.
Pawar, who also heads the state excise department, instructed that this policy be implemented uniformly across Maharashtra.
He made the statement in the Lower House of the Assembly while replying to a question raised by BJP MLA Shankar Jagtap from Pune's Chinchwad constituency.

Nashik, Jan 21 (UNI) The long-billed white-backed vulture (ID: J132), which had become exhausted and underweight after travelling from Pench Tiger Reserve (Nagpur) to Anjaneri in Maharashtra, was successfully released into its natural habitat at the Anjaneri Vulture Conservation Reserve after completing treatment and recovery at the Wildlife Treatment Centre (TTC), Mhasrul.
