Maha: Major liquor smuggling racket busted, IMFL worth Rs 1.43 Cr seized

Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) A major liquor smuggling racket was busted on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway with the seizure of Goa-manufactured Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 1.43 crore, the Maharashtra Excise department said here today.
The flying squad intercepted a container truck at R C Patil Toll Naka, Majiwada Road, on Tuesday evening following specific intelligence.
Officials recovered a large consignment of whiskey bottles produced in Goa, the sale of which is banned in Maharashtra.
