Maharashtra BJP to organise 'Seva Pakhwada' for PM Modi's birthday

Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) The Maharashtra unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise a "Seva Pakhwada" (Fortnight of Service) across the state from September 17 to October 2 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday.
State BJP President Ravindra Chavan today said the campaign is a people-driven social initiative aimed at spreading awareness about the Central Government's welfare schemes, cleanliness, environmental conservation, and self-reliance.
As part of the initiative, the party has resolved to deliver the benefits of various schemes to more than 50 lakh people. Under the "Namo Netra Sanjeevani" campaign, over one lakh free cataract surgeries and more than 10 lakh eye check-ups will be performed, with spectacles distributed to patients. Blood donation and health camps will also be organised across all mandals in the state.

Mah: Newly elected MLCs take oath
