Maharashtra CM Leaves for Davos to Pitch State’s Growth Strategy at World Economic Forum

Mumbai, Jan 18 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday left for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, where he will present the state’s economic vision and investment opportunities to global industry leaders and policymakers.
The Chief Minister is leading a high-level delegation that includes Industries Minister Dr Uday Samant and senior state government officials. According to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the visit aims to position Maharashtra as India’s leading growth engine and attract large-scale global investments.
At the WEF, the state government will promote the “Magnetic Maharashtra” initiative and showcase the state’s industrial, infrastructure and policy strengths. Chief Minister Fadnavis said the forum would play a crucial role in Maharashtra’s journey towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.

Mumbai, Feb 17 (UNI) French President Emmanuel Macron began his engagements in Mumbai with an unexpected and informal public appearance on Tuesday, when he was seen jogging along the city’s iconic Marine Drive promenade. The French leader, who is in India on a three-day official visit from February 17 to 19, took time out for his routine fitness activity ahead of a scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi later in the day.
