Maharashtra CM Leaves for Davos to Pitch State’s Growth Strategy at World Economic Forum

Mumbai, Jan 18 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday left for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, where he will present the state’s economic vision and investment opportunities to global industry leaders and policymakers.
The Chief Minister is leading a high-level delegation that includes Industries Minister Dr Uday Samant and senior state government officials. According to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the visit aims to position Maharashtra as India’s leading growth engine and attract large-scale global investments.
At the WEF, the state government will promote the “Magnetic Maharashtra” initiative and showcase the state’s industrial, infrastructure and policy strengths. Chief Minister Fadnavis said the forum would play a crucial role in Maharashtra’s journey towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.
