Maharashtra driving India's growth, says CM on I-Day

Mumbai, Aug 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared Maharashtra a pivotal force in India's unstoppable development during the state's 79th Independence Day ceremony at the Mantralaya today.
After hoisting the tricolour at the state secretariat, Fadnavis revealed that Maharashtra secures 40% of India's total Foreign Direct Investment while leading nationally in manufacturing, exports, and start-up ecosystems. He earlier conducted flag-hoisting ceremonies at his official residence, Varsha, and the Bombay High Court in South Mumbai.
Fadnavis paid tributes to freedom fighters, martyrs, and border security personnel during his address. He hailed Operation Sindoor as a demonstration of India's military strength, stating security forces "destroyed terrorist and military targets in Pakistan to showcase New India's prowess." The CM emphasized India's economic rise under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting the country climbed from the world's 11th to 4th largest economy. "No force can halt our progress, including our achievements in space," he asserted.
