Malviya Nagar blaze: Local residents and Delhi cops risk lives to save dozens

New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) As a massive fire ripped through a guest house in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar on Wednesday morning, a group of local residents and Delhi Police personnel displayed extraordinary courage, rushing into the smoke-filled building to rescue trapped occupants before emergency teams could fully take control of the situation.
Among the first responders were eleven cousins from the neighbourhood who sprang into action after learning about the blaze at Flourish Stay B&B.
Without protective gear or firefighting equipment, they entered the burning premises and helped evacuate several people trapped inside.

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday chargesheeted a key CPI (Maoist) operative for inciting a mob at a funeral of a deceased member of the proscribed terrorist organisation to promote unlawful activities.
In the chargesheet filed before the NIA special court at Nampally, Hyderabad, Gade Innaiah alias Gade Inna Reddy has been charged under relevant sections of BNS, 2023 and UA(P)A, 1967.

Indian Army contingent to participate in joint military exercise Khaan Quest in Mongolia

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) An Indian Army contingent is set to depart for Mongolia to take part in the multilateral joint military initiative, ‘Exercise KHAAN QUEST.’
The military exercise is scheduled to be conducted from June 20 to July 3 at Five Hills Training Area, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

SC declines interim relief against CBSE’s three-language policy, tags plea with pending batch

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to grant any interim relief on a petition filed by the NGO Friends of People for Active Democracy, challenging the implementation of the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) three-language policy for Class 9 students from the 2026–27 academic session.
