Mamata alleges BJP plot to delete valid voters' names in Bengal

Kolkata, Jan 13 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday accused the BJP of plotting to remove the names of valid voters from the electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), after around 4,000 Form 7 applications were recovered from a car purportedly linked to BJP leaders in Bankura district.
The incident took place at Cinema More in Khatra, where local Trinamool Congress leaders grew suspicious of a vehicle and intercepted it.
On searching the car, nearly 4,000 filled Form 7 documents —used for seeking deletion of names from voter lists — were allegedly found.
