Man arrested for impersonating Police Officer in Sopore

Srinagar, June 21( UNI) Police on Saturday arrested a man for impersonating a police officer in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore sub district.
Police said Barkat Ahmad War resident of Zaloora and a driver by profession was arrested during routine naka checking at Harwan Crossing Bomai.
According to police, the individual attempted to flee upon spotting the police party but was quickly apprehended. A personal search led to the recovery of a fake police identity card and a forged driving license.

RSS leader’s grandson shot dead in Firozpur; probe underway as extremist group claims responsibility

Chandigarh, Nov 16 (UNI) An RSS leader’s grandson was shot dead in Punjab’s Firozpur district on Friday, in what police suspect to be a targeted killing. The man was attacked in the busy Mochi Bazaar area while he was on his way to pick up his children from school. Two assailants approached him from behind and fired at his head, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
