Man burned alive by lover’s family in Siddharthnagar, dies during treatment

Siddharthnagar, Nov 6 (UNI) A shocking case of honour killing has come to light in Siddharthnagar district, where a young man was allegedly set on fire by the family members of his married lover.
The victim, identified as Krishnadev alias Rohit Pandey, succumbed to his injuries at BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur, after sustaining severe burn injuries, police said today.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday night in Barnwar village under Khesraha police station. Krishnadev was invited to dinner by his lover Sudha Yadav, her sister Madhuri and brother Rakesh. When he did not return home by late night, his family went out searching for him. They were horrified to find him badly burned and writhing in pain on the road.
