Man dies in electrocution amid nine-month isolation in a Puri village

Puri, Oct 4 (UNI) In a tragic incident in Palli village under Brahmagiri police limits in Odisha's Puri district, a member of an ostracised family died after coming into contact with a live electric wire allegedly tampered with by miscreants.
According to Batabanu Baral, five families in the village were socially isolated following a ruling by the village committee over a land dispute among brothers.
The committee reportedly barred the families from accessing public facilities, including the village pond, well, temple, and common festivals, and even prevented their children from attending school and tuition classes for the past nine months.
