Man killed by son over property in Jaunpur

Jaunpur (UP), Apr 19 (UNI) A 65-year-old man was hit with a stick and killed by his son allegedly over property dispute in Sarpatha area of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Srivastava said that Prabhakar Singh (65), a resident of Deeh Asharfabad village, has four-five semi-constructed rooms on the side of Lucknow-Ballia highway in the village and mostly lived there. "On Saturday at around 11 am, his son, Akhilesh Singh alias Otu Singh, came inside the room and killed his father by hitting him on the head with a stick," he said.
He said that the son killed his father over selling of land and money transactions. "It is being said that there used to be some dispute between father and son regarding selling of land," he said.
