Manipur Governor gets briefing from security advisor

Imphal, May 16 (UNI) Manipur Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh called on state Governor Anusuiya Uikeyon Thursday and briefed her about the prevailing security situation in the state.
Kuldiep Singh had taken over the charge of the Chief of Unified Command from Chief Minister N Biren Singh in May 2023 and was managing the security-related measures in the state.
He briefed the Governor about the law and order situation and the deployment of central forces along the fringe areas to prevent untoward incidents. He informed that some troops have to be withdrawn for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections sometime but are likely to return after the election process is over and redeployment will take place.
