Manipur journalists suspend stir

Imphal, June 21 (UNI) Journalists of Manipur have suspended a stir of non-publication of government and security personnel related news from Saturday.
The decision was taken on Saturday by All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and the Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) during a general body meeting at Press Club.
A team of media persons going to Ukhrul on May 20 last to cover Shirui Lily Festival was stopped by personnel of 4 Mahar Regiment and demanded concealment of the words "Manipur State Transport" written on the vehicle of the Manipur Transport Department, Manipur.

Bhubaneswar, May 19 (UNI) union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said eastern India, enriched with fertile soil, abundant water resources and favourable climate, is poised to become the growth engine of India’s next agricultural revolution.
Addressing the ‘Eastern Regional Agricultural Conference-2026’ in Bhubaneswar, Chouhan called for greater emphasis on natural farming and urged farmers to gradually reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers and pesticides to protect soil fertility and improve crop quality.
