Marsh's 90s curse overshadows 500-run milestone in IPL 2026

Jaipur, May 19 (UNI) Mitchell Marsh's IPL 2026 campaign has emerged as one of the most intriguing statistical and narrative arcs of the season, defined as much by prolific scoring as by repeated misses in the nervous 90s.
The Lucknow Super Giants batter has already crossed 505* runs this season, becoming the first LSG player to aggregate 500-plus runs in consecutive IPL editions following his 627-run haul in IPL 2025. While the numbers underline consistency and impact at the top of the order, Marsh's season has also been marked by an unusual pattern of near-centuries.
The Australian all-rounder has been a central figure for the Lucknow, providing aggressive starts and anchoring key partnerships across venues. However, he has twice been dismissed in the 90s this season, including one run-out, a sequence that has placed him alongside Glenn Maxwell's 2014 record for most dismissals in the 90s in a single IPL edition.
