Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) The Dadar market, one of Mumbai’s most popular shopping destinations, has turned into a sea of shoppers ahead of Diwali, with chaotic crowd scenes sparking serious safety concerns and criticism of civic management.
Viral videos circulating on social media show thousands of people jam-packed in the narrow market lanes, prompting fears of a potential stampede.
The combination of heavy festive shopping, narrow passages, and footpaths blocked by street vendors has made movement nearly impossible in several stretches of the market.
