Mechanical boats useful for disaster management: minister

Sangli, Oct 13 (UNI) Maharashtra minister Chandrakant Patil today said that mechanical boats will be useful for disaster management in event of floods in the future.
While addressing the gathering during inauguration of motorized boats to eight gram panchayats in Palus tehsil under the dynamic administration and strengthening of emergency system under the year 2024-25 held at Palus of the district, he said it is difficult to predict the future regarding disasters, but it is necessary to be alert.
It is necessary to take precautionary measures in accordance with the emergency situation and to make alternative arrangements far from the river banks where flood water will not reach.
