Meghalaya government working on bringing in administrative reforms

Shillong, Jan 25 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday said that his government is working on bringing in some administrative reforms.
“It will take some time to happen, but we are working on it. We have seen that for many services that the government provides the people have to travel to the sub-division or the district headquarters. We are exploring the possibility of providing these services through the block offices,” he said.
Inaugurating Mawhati Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Block that was held at Umsohliat village in Ri-Bhoi district, the Chief Minister said that the inauguration of the block is a reflection of the commitment of the government to take administration closer to the people.

Bengal CM announces jobs for families of 315 post-poll violence victims

Kolkata, June 7 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday announced that a member from each of the families of BJP workers allegedly killed in post-poll violence following the 2021 Assembly elections would be provided government jobs this month, along with a one-time financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
