Meghalaya: HQ 101 Area celebrates 61st Raising Day

Shillong, Apr 22 (UNI) The 61st Raising Day of Headquarter 101 Area was celebrated with traditional military élan and fervour led by Major General Amar Ramdasani, Chief of Staff, Headquarter 101 Area.
Major General laid a wreath at the Prerna Sthal War Memorial at Upper Shillong here in Meghalaya on Friday.
Headquarter 101 Area was raised in 1963 as Headquarter 101 Communication Zone, with the primary responsibility to provide logistics support to field formations that had moved to the North East region in the wake of the Chinese aggression in 1962.
