Minister Deepika Pandey Singh acquitted in 8-yr-old case

Ranchi, Oct 16 (UNI) A Dumka court on Thursday acquitted Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh and six other accused in an eight-year-old case related to obstruction of government work and scuffles with administrative and police personnel during the removal of a road blockade following a fatal accident.
The verdict was delivered by Special Judge Mohit Chaudhary at the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate’s Court cum Special Court for MPs and MLAs in Dumka, in connection with Mahgama Police Station Case No. 72/2017, Godda district.
The case stemmed from a road accident on June 24, 2017, at Basuwa Chowk, Mahgama, in which a person died after being hit by a Hiwa vehicle.
