Minister’s intervention helps bring back 27 Indians stranded in Myanmar

New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Twenty-seven Indian nationals who were stranded in Myanmar after being lured abroad on false job promises were safely repatriated to India on Friday.
This followed a diplomatic intervention by the Indian government after the Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu highlighted the issue.
According to official sources, Naidu, who is also the Member of Parliament from Srikakulam, had written to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar seeking urgent diplomatic action for the rescue of the Indians, who were trafficked to the Myanmar border region and forced into cyber scam operations.
