Minister Tummala urges strict monitoring of Urea supply

Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed officials to ensure smooth and fair distribution of urea across the state, warning of stern action against any dealers found selling urea at inflated prices or creating artificial shortages.
Speaking during a review meeting with senior officials on Wednesday, Minister Tummala emphasised the need for daily monitoring of urea stocks and supplies at the district level. He instructed officials to hold continuous consultations to ensure that the fertilisers allocated by the Centre are supplied on time, without disruption.
The Minister’s directive comes a day after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers JP Nadda in New Delhi, requesting the release of urea as per the monthly plan already announced by the Centre. The Telangana government, expecting timely allocations, has already drawn up a district-wise supply plan.
