Mitchell slams century, joins elite club of Nathan Astle

Indore, Jan 18 (UNI) Daryl Mitchell once again tormented the Indian bowlers on Sunday, rolling out a sublime ODI century to stamp his authority as one of New Zealand’s most prolific run-scorers against India.
With this knock, Mitchell brought up his fourth ODI hundred against India, moving joint-second on the list of New Zealand batsmen with the most centuries against the hosts. He now stands alongside Nathan Astle, with only Astle’s tally of five hundreds keeping him at the top of the NZ vs IND charts.
What makes Mitchell’s feat stand out even more is the speed at which he has achieved it — four centuries in just 11 innings. Chris Cairns and Ross Taylor trail the duo with three hundreds each.
