Odisha, ESIC ink MoU for ESI Medical College in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, May 19 (UNI) In a major boost to healthcare and medical education infrastructure in Bhubaneswar, the State’s Labour and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Government of India, for establishment of a new ESI Medical College and Hospital at Andharua in Bhubaneswar.
Under the agreement, the Odisha government handed over the existing ESI Hospital at Chandrasekharpur to ESIC to facilitate commencement of the medical college’s initial operations, officials said.
