MLA Kamlesh Thakur reviews progress of MGNREGA works

Dehra, Nov 12 (UNI) MLA Kamlesh Thakur directed officials to expedite ongoing development works and ensure transparency and accountability in public welfare projects.
She was presiding over a review meeting of various schemes of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department held at the Panchayat Samiti Hall in Dehra on Tuesday (yesterday).
The meeting was attended by SDM Dehra Kulwant Singh Potan, BDO Sanjeev, Panchayat Secretaries, Technical Assistants, and Gram Rojgar Sevaks, among others.

Punjab: KMM leaders begin removal of Chip-based Power Meters in Ludhiana

Centre launches ‘Rah-Veer’ scheme to reward citizens assisting road accident victims

Shimla, Dec 10 (UNI) The union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced a new nationwide initiative titled Rah-Veer, aimed at encouraging citizens to act promptly during road accidents and help save lives during the critical “golden hour.”
The scheme seeks to recognise and reward Good Samaritans who voluntarily step forward to assist accident victims by providing emergency aid and ensuring their swift transfer to medical facilities.
