MoRTH floats tender for much awaited Jorhat Majuli bridge

Guwahati, May 22 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways floated the tender for the much-awaited Jorhat-Majuli Bridge over the Brahmaputra in Assam on Thursday.
Disclosing this on his X handle, State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari.
"Great news for Assam. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has today floated the tender for the much-awaited Jorhat–Majuli Bridge—a 6.81 km, 2-lane bridge with an estimated cost of Rs. 600.51 crore.

Odisha Govt launches scheme to revive traditional crop & food culture

Bhubaneswar, June 18 (UNI) In an effort to revive Odisha's traditional crop and food culture, the state government on Wednesday launched a new scheme titled “Revival and Sustainable Intensification of Forgotten Food & Neglected Crops in Odisha.”
The scheme focuses on the conservation, cultivation, value addition, marketing, and awareness generation around traditional and neglected crops. It aims to provide additional financial support
to cultivators, particularly those from tribal communities.
