MSEDCL staff restore power supply to Yelwadi, Sangurdi amid heavy rain

Pune, July 8 (UNI) Braving incessant rain and flood conditions, employees of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) worked through the night to successfully restore power supply to Yelwadi and Sangurdi villages after severe weather disrupted electricity services.
Power poles supplying electricity to Yelwadi and Sangurdi villages under the Chakan MIDC Subdivision were washed away by strong flood currents, resulting in a complete outage in both villages. Upon receiving information about the incident, Chakan MIDC Subdivision Engineer Prakash Shelke, Vasuli Branch Engineer Pramod Jadhav, and MSEDCL personnel rushed to the site and immediately began restoration work.
Continuous heavy rainfall and waterlogged, muddy terrain prevented MSEDCL vehicles from reaching the affected location. Despite these challenging conditions, employees manually carried new electricity poles and other heavy equipment on their shoulders to the site to carry out repairs, according to a release.
