Mumbai rain, three injured as wall collapses

Mumbai Jun 24 (UNI) Three people, including two children were injured after the wall of their house collapsed in Bhandup area on early Tuesday during heavy rains in Mumbai.
According to fire bridge sources the incident occurred at Punjabi Chawl, located in Hanuman Nagar area, adjacent to a nullah and was reported to the authorities at approximately 7:01 am by the S Ward Control Room.
The wall of a residential structure gave way, likely weakened by its proximity to the nearby drain. Emergency response teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), local police and ward-level staff were immediately rushed to the site to carry out rescue and relief operations, officials added.
