Nagaland: World Food Safety Day observed in Dimapur

Dimapur, June 8 (UNI) The food safety wing of the Nagaland Health & Family Welfare department, in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and Eat Right India, observed the 8th World Food Safety Day 2026 here today by conducting a hands-on training session on food safety measures for hoteliers and stakeholders.
Held under the theme “From Burden to Solutions-Safe Food Everywhere”, the food technicians provided practical demonstrations and awareness on clean hands, food adulteration, and food contamination during the programme.
Addressing the event as the special guest, S Tainiu, secretary, Health & Family Welfare, highlighted the significance of World Food Safety Day in raising awareness about the importance of safe food and the collective responsibility of ensuring food safety from production to consumption.
