NALCO & SDI join hands to skill local youth

Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 (UNI) National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the union Ministry of Mines, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar, to launch a skill development programme for youths from villages surrounding its operational areas.
The MoU was signed between NALCO Foundation, the company’s CSR wing, and SDI in the presence of NALCO CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh, Director (HR) Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, and other senior officials from NALCO and SDI.
Under this initiative, 30 youths each from the periphery villages of NALCO’s Mines & Refinery Complex at Damanjodi and the Smelter & Power Complex at Angul will undergo three-month residential training in various trades.
