Itanagar, Apr 23 (UNI) A contingent of 40 enthusiastic NCC cadets, including 20 girls, from the Northeastern states of Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh, was ceremoniously flagged off from the iconic Buddha Statue in Tawang on Wednesday.
The cadets will be participating in a 10-day Vibrant Village Camp at Jemeithang, near the India-Tibet border, organized for the first time in this remote and culturally rich region.
The flag-off ceremony was graced by Tawang MLA Namgey Tsering, along with Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang, Commander of Tawang Brigade, Brigadier Bhupal Singh, and Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion NCC, Tawang, Col Abhijeet Bambre. The event was also attended by senior Indian Army officials, officers from district administration, and general public.
