Neena Kulkarni wins Bhave Award

Sangli (Maha), Oct 3 (UNI) Renowned actress of Marathi-Hindi theatre and films, Neena Kulkarni, has been selected for this year's prestigious Vishnudas Bhave Puraskar, on behalf of Akhil Bhartiya Natya Vidyamandir Committee (ABNVC), Sangli.
In a press conference today, Sharad Karale, ABNVC president, said Kulkarni has selected for her outstanding contribution in play, Marathi-Hindi films and TV serials as an actor, producer, director and writer. The award carries Rs 25,000 in cash, a shawl, Shreephal and a 'Manchinha'.
Karale said Kulkarni has acted in 25 Marathi plays, including 'Guntara Hruday He', 'Hamidabaichi Kothi', 'Mahasagar', 'Savitri', 'Aaksmat' and 'Dehbhan'. She also acted in many Marathi and Hindi films including 'Aai', 'Shevtili', 'Bioscope', 'Mogara' 'Phulalav' and Hindi films as 'Dag -- The fire', 'Purush', 'Hangama' and 'Bhutnath.'
