NEET UG 2026 paper leak case; Telegram was among the main platforms used to circulate leaked questions

Mumbai, May 17 (UNI) The investigation into the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case took a significant turn after the CBI which is conducting a probe found that Telegram was among the main platforms allegedly used to circulate leaked questions and communicate with students, middlemen and others linked to the network .
Sources in the central agency said that a team of technical experts is also engaged in the probe to find out the advanced ways of communication adopted by the students. The experts are also examining Telegram chats, money trails and links to the examination process.
Meanwhile a CBI team also conducted surprise operations as part of its broadening crackdown on the purported test scam. The investigation into the NEET paper leak case has now extended to Maharashtra's Nanded district. A businessman Ashwin Kadam in Nanded, has been summoned by CBI to appear at its Pune office on Tuesday.
