Nepal PM Dahal loses trust vote; President asks him to continue till new govt formation

Kathmandu, July 12 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ was on Friday ousted from power after he lost the trust vote in the Nepal Parliament. President Ramchandra Paudel has asked PM Dahal to continue till a new government is formed.
President Paudel also called on members of the House of Representatives to stake claim for the post of prime minister showing a majority with the support of two or more political parties in the lower house.
Earlier, in the floor test in the House of Representatives, 63 lawmakers voted in favour of the motion, 194 voted against it, and one remained neutral, resulting in PM Dahal's loss.
