BPCL and Refroid Technologies launch India’s first Indigenous Liquid Coolant

Kolkata, Jan 31 (UNI) Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has teamed up with Refroid Technologies to introduce India’s first Make in India liquid coolant specifically formulated for next-generation AI-driven and sovereign data centers.
This innovative development signifies a major advancement in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability within India’s expanding digital infrastructure.
The new liquid coolant developed by BPCL and Refroid Technologies provides a state-of-the-art solution, improving cooling efficiency, decreasing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), and reducing carbon emissions.
This innovation is poised to revolutionize data center operations both in India and worldwide, in line with the nation's pursuit of sustainable and energy-efficient technologies.
By co-developing this liquid coolant, BPCL becomes the first Indian energy company to take this initiative, solidifying its dedication to innovation and environmental stewardship.
Utilizing its knowledge in advanced materials and energy solutions, BPCL aspires to establish a new industry standard by implementing the coolant in its own data centers, showcasing its efficiency and sustainability advantages, according to a media statement here on Friday.

Refroid Technologies, India’s foremost authority in advanced liquid cooling solutions, collaborated closely with BPCL’s research and development team to design a high-performance, energy-efficient liquid coolant specifically aligned with India’s distinct environmental characteristics.
