Indian Oil to provide Rs 62.38 lakh CSR support for Zoram Medical College Hospital

Aizawl, Jan 15 (UNI) Zoram Medical College and Hospital (ZMC&H) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Mizoram.
The MoU was signed between the Director of ZMC&H and Malati Makar, Senior Manager (HR–CSR) of the IndianOil AOD State Office. Under the agreement, IOCL will extend CSR support amounting to Rs 62.38 lakh for the procurement of critical medical equipment for Zoram Medical College and Hospital at Falkawn.
Officials said the assistance will be utilised for the purchase of an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, a diathermy machine and C-Arm equipment. These facilities are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s emergency response, diagnostic capabilities and treatment services.
Expressing gratitude, the Director of ZMC&H thanked IOCL for its continued support to the healthcare sector in the state, stating that the equipment would greatly benefit patients and contribute to improving the overall quality of medical care.
Malati Makar reaffirmed IndianOil’s commitment to community welfare through its CSR initiatives, highlighting the company’s focus on supporting healthcare services and public well-being across the region.
