Rupee marginally up 2 paise against USD

Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday ended positive at 85.51, rising two paise against USD on fresh selling of US Dollar from foreign banks and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

Tumbling down 27 paise on Thursday, the domestic unit smartly recovered by 16 paise at 85.37 in early trade today.

It erased earlier gains and settled positive only, with meagre gain of 2 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee regain on weak dollar against other world currencies however, it was capped further gains because of negative equity market, dealer informed.

The Rupee recorded days high and low at 85.33 and 85.56 respectively, dealer added.
