Yuvraj blitz powers India Masters to IML final with 94-run win

Raipur, Mar 15 (UNI) A blistering 30-ball 59-run knock by Yuvraj Singh propelled India Masters to a resounding 94-run victory over Australia Masters, securing their berth in the final of the inaugural International Masters League (IML) 2025.
The emphatic win not only cemented their dominance but also set the stage for a high-octane summit clash against West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.
Leading the batting charts, Sachin Tendulkar (156 runs) and Yuvraj Singh (166 runs) have been instrumental in India Masters’ campaign, while the bowling department, spearheaded by Pawan Negi (8 wickets), Irfan Pathan (6 wickets), and Stuart Binny (6 wickets), has showcased a formidable attack.
"India vs West Indies clashes always rekindle memories of the historic 1983 World Cup triumph. Forty-two years later, history beckons once more—this time in Raipur! The India Masters have exhibited remarkable grit and brilliance, and as they step onto the field one last time, it’s a moment for fans to witness something truly special. From a defining past to a memorable future in the making, Raipur is set to host another chapter of cricketing legacy," said Salman Ahmed and Kartikey Mishra, Team Owners, India Masters.
In the semifinal, vice-captain Yuvraj Singh led the charge with seven sixes, attacking the opposition with characteristic flair, while captain Sachin Tendulkar anchored the innings with a composed 42 off 30 balls. A late flourish from Yusuf Pathan and Stuart Binny powered India to a daunting total of 220/7. On the bowling front, Shahbaz Nadeem’s sensational 4/15 rattled the Australian line-up, ensuring a comprehensive win.
As the month-long tournament delivered thrilling encounters in Mumbai, Vadodara, and now in Raipur, fans are eagerly anticipating the ultimate showdown—a clash of legends between India Masters and West Indies Masters in what promises to be an electrifying grand finale.
