RCB rope in Mayank Agarwal after Padikkal injury

Bengaluru, May 7 (UNI) Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Wednesday announced the inclusion of Mayank Agarwal as a replacement for Devdutt Padikkal, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to a right hamstring injury.
The southpaw, an integral part of RCB’s batting lineup, has been the side’s second-highest run-scorer this season, amassing 247 runs from 10 innings at a strike rate of 150.60, including two half-centuries.
In a homecoming of sorts, Bengaluru-born Mayank Agarwal returns to the franchise where he began his IPL career, over a decade ago. The seasoned right-hander has featured in 127 IPL matches, compiling 2,661 runs with one century and 13 fifties to his credit. He has joined RCB for a fee of Rs 1 crore.
