Patna, May 13 (UNI) Carrying forward the developmental initiatives, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 48 projects to be executed at an estimated expenditure of Rs 208 crores for the development of Bhagalpur district.
The Chief Minister initiated all of the projects through remote control in Bhagalpur on Tuesday. Of these 48 developmental projects, 32 schemes worth Rs 4502.79 lakh were inaugurated, while the foundation stones were laid for 16 schemes worth Rs 16359.46 lakh.
Outlining details of the projects, the Chief Minister said that all these schemes would pave the way for the development of Bhagalpur. He said that the schemes inaugurated would prove to be beneficial for the local people.
Later, the Chief Minister attended a special camp organised for Ambedkar Samgra Seva Abhiyan at village Mukhariya under Khiribandh Panchayat of Jagdishpur block. The Chief Minister inspected various stalls exhibited in the camp.
Accompanied by his senior cabinet colleagues including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, water Resources- cum- Parliamentary Affairs Ministry Vijay Kumar Choudhary and others, the Chief Minister also distributed cheques among the beneficiaries of various schemes as token. The papers for homestead land, Ayushman card, ration card, and others were also distributed among the beneficiaries.
