Manual registration of births and deaths in Nagaland to end from May 31 onwards

Dimapur, May 12 (UNI) The Nagaland government has decided to discontinue the manual registration of births and deaths from May 31.
The state economics & statistic department, through an order, on Tuesday notified the transition to 100 per cent online registration of births and deaths in the state from June 1 onwards to enhance data accuracy, reliability, real-time reporting, as well as to phase out fraudulent practices in the registration of births and deaths.
Accordingly, the order said, all registrations of births and deaths will be carried out through the designated CRS ORGI Portal.
