Tripura: CM meets security agencies and reviews law and order

Agartala, May 9 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday held a high-level meeting of security agencies and reviewed the law and order, border security along the Tripura-Bangladesh border, and security coordination status following hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Officials of BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, Indian Army, and SIB, besides Director General of Police Anurag Dhankhar, attended the meeting in the residence of Chief Minister for more than an hour.
“The Chief Minister expressed concern over the cross-border movement of Bangladeshi nationals through Tripura despite multi-layered security along wire fencing. The activities of fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh and their anti-Indian operatives have also been stressed in the discussion,” sources underlined.
