Odisha Student Cong protests before Governor's House, demands 27 pc reservation for OBCs

Bhubaneswar, July 4 (UNI) Activists of the Odisha Student Congress staged a protest in front of the Raj Bhawan today, demanding the immediate implementation of 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in education and employment in the state.
Undeterred by the heavy downpour, the protestors, led by Student Congress President Udit Pradhan, continued their demonstration for several hours.
Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhaktacharan Das also joined the protest, extending his full support to the students’ demands.

West Bengal Cabinet approves BSF land transfer, Ayushman Bharat in first Nabanna meeting

Kolkata, May 11 (UNI) The newly formed West Bengal government on Monday outlined a series of administrative, security, and welfare-related measures following its first cabinet meeting at the state secretariat, Nabanna, including land transfer to the Border Security Force (BSF) for border fencing along the Indo-Bangladesh border and the introduction of the Centre’s various social welfare programmes, including the Ayushman Bharat health scheme, in the state.
