Mulching technique to boost agro production in Bihar: Minister

Patna, May 11 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Sunday said the mulching technique would immensely help in boosting agro production in the state.
Sinha said here that use of mulch component of plastic, jute, agro textile would help in boosting the agro production in Bihar to a great extent. It would also end cropping up of weeds that badly affects the growth of plants and also uses minerals of the soil affecting agro production, he said.
"Mulching technique has proved to be effective in increasing production of fruits, vegetables and flowers ", Deputy Chief Minister also holding the Agriculture portfolio said, and continued that this technique would minimise the adverse effects of climate change on crops.
