Arunachal Guv proposes leveraging IAF’s ATC infrastructure to aid civilian helicopter services

Itanagar, Jan 27 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has proposed leveraging the Indian Air Force’s Air Traffic Control (ATC) infrastructure to facilitate civilian helicopter services, thereby improving connectivity in remote areas of the landlocked hilly state.
He also underscored the importance of activating the Advanced Landing Grounds (ALGs) in the state to their full potential, ensuring their optimal utilization for both the Armed Forces and the civilian population, which in turn will boost the tourism sector.
The Governor was interacting with the Air Officer Commanding in Chief (AOC-in-C), Eastern Air Command of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Marshal Surat Singh, who called on him at Raj Bhavan here on Monday.
